COVID-19: OUR RESPONSE

The world has changed, but our dedication to resident care hasn’t. At Iowa Park Healthcare we are committed to maintaining the health and safety of our residents and staff through the COVID-19 pandemic. As the local and national situation evolves, Iowa Park Healthcare is in constant communication with clinical and infectious disease specialists, including the CDC, CMS, and local health authorities. Our staff and team members are prioritizing the health and well-being of our residents and taking extensive precautionary measures to keep them safe.  

As a resident or family member, you can rest assured that Iowa Park Healthcare is vigilantly monitoring all developments relating to the COVID-19 virus, and especially its impact on the long term care community. We stand ready to adjust our response and implement new measures as appropriate. At Iowa Park Healthcare, our goal is to one day reflect on these unprecedented times and be proud of how we took care of one another.  

As the COVID-19 vaccine has become available to seniors in Texas and across the country, Iowa Park Healthcare has acted quickly in procuring and administering this safe and effective vaccine to our residents and team members.  We will continue in these efforts with a goal of achieving vaccination for all eligible community members in the near term.

Iowa Park Healthcare asks all staff members and family member to adhere to the following guidelines. Together we can STOP THE SPREAD!

  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Use hand sanitizer that has at least 60 percent alcohol.  
  • Limit interactions with others. If it is necessary to be in public, practice social distancing by staying at least 6 feet away from others.  
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.  
  • If you feel sick, stay home and away from others and contact your healthcare provider.  
  • Wear appropriate face coverings. In community common spaces, wear medical masks provided by. Outside of the community, wear cloth face coverings.  
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.
